Preventive Maintenance
Preventive Maintenance begins with the preparation of a detailed inventory of the client’s equipment. The next step is to provide the client with an expert assessment on equipment condition, including any recommendations for repair or replacement. Once this discussion has taken place with the client and the client has given approval, A.T.S. will comprise a schedule of checks and maintenance to be performed to maintain equipment in top working condition. A.T.S. will work with the client to schedule maintenance when it is most convenient. Before parts are ordered to be used for the scheduled maintenance process, the client will be notified in advance for approval of parts purchase.
The goal of the comprehensive preventive maintenance program is to reduce lost revenue due to machine failures by:
• evaluating all equipment,
• designing a scheduled maintenance program,
• maintaining a current database to track scheduled maintenance and identify potential problems,
• working within scheduling guidelines of client for the most convenient maintenance times.
The benefits of a preventative maintenance program are to:
• Mitigate wear and tear on machines by keeping them clean and lubricated.
• Avoid unexpected equipment failures that cause production loss.
• Schedule full repairs during downtime instead of performing temporary or quick fix repairs.
• Reduce maintenance and repair costs by eliminating emergency repair services
